White Ghost´s Dogo´s is a kennel in the south of Sweden, FCI registered since 2005. The person behind this kennel is Jessica. Before I started this kennel I search for a long time for a breed that would suit me and now Im convinced that I found the most wonderful and loving breed in the world the DOGO ARGENTINO. The dogos I started with are imported after bloodlines from Argentina, comes from the counties Italy, Austria, France and are of excellent quality. Im a member of the Clubs SWEIDSH DOGO CLUB, DACA, HÖRBY BRUKSHUNDSKLUBB, SKK and DKK.
The dogs that has the name prefix "White Ghost´s Dogo´s" are my own breeded dogo argentinos, you can choose to read more about them under theire names in the meny Dogo Argentinos. There you can see what they presented in for example show, tracking, health and so on. I breed the working type of Dogo Argentino. That means strong and athletic, but with heart of gold and ofcourse abel to work in diffrent areas. I take my breed very seriously and I put a lot of work, love and energy in my Dogos.
I have a practis field where I train our dogos my self and for a trainer in IPO, obedince, total leadership, tracking, agility, protection and show. My dogos are members of the family. I have a kennelsystem where every dog has it own inside room and outside cage. I have one kennel house. Totaly 7 cages with inside room and outside room. Also I have a special puppie box/cage for the female and her puppies, this is also the palce where the female have her puppies in peace and quiet. Every dog has their own time or togheter with other dogos time in our dog field, also all dogs gets out on walks and on training. For me the Dogo Argentino is a working dog, with that I mean that it has to have some type of work to do and training. It is not only a family dog. A dogo that is only a pet is not a happy dog in our eyes. I put a lot of work to prove my belives into this breed. It is not the most simple dog to work with, as a owner you need to have skills and patience. And it is not a obediance elite dog, so for competing on high level well it could work, but nothing you get for free or simple. To see some obediance photos CLICK HERE...
In my thinking we have some importent goals with the dogos in this kennel. For me it is not importent to just produce a litter for selling puppys. Each dog at our kennel before it is put out as stud male or a female that we like to use for a litter have results on; dysplasia, elbows (not needed for the dogo to do this, so some of our dogs dont have results on this), BAER test, healthy, heartscan, skinbiopsy and have a excellent character. We only breed if both dogos have documentation in order that is needed for breeding in Sweden. In Sweden you are allowed to breed if both parents have official dysplasia X-ray and that the puppies will be BAER tested. All our dogos have skills in for example hunting, shows and tracking before we breed. We like to have much so much information we can on the breeding animals in tests and the lines behind, knowing what we breed on.
We do not belive in breeding each dog many times. We dont like to see our dogos in to many pedigrees. For us it is importent that we have a excellent quality and that our males and females dont have to many litters in theire life. We think that a female can be breeded not more then twice times and a male should not stud to many females. If a male has to many offsprings in a country like Sweden this will be very bad for the breed, because Sweden is not a big country.
Our story how we found the dogo argentino started when our best friend purchased a male. Then our eyes where totaly focused of this amazing breed. We where convinced that this was the breed for us. We started to search for a dogo in year 2001 and found a great breeder in Italy with a lot of passion for the breed Luca Olivari (Kennel di casa dei Marchesi). We ended up with our first dogo Devil di Casa dei Marchesi, that arriwed into our home year 2004. This ground male in our kennel we can only say many big thanks to Luca for selling Devil to us, he has proven to be a real show dog and also have excellent skills in obediance tarining. We later on started to search for more dogos to add to our kennel, you can read more about our dogos and where they come from under the meny links Dogo Argentino.
Our first dogo Devil di Casa dei Marchesi left us 9/8-2008 to fast and in great pain and sorrow. He is now in our memories and left us a litter born in our kennel, where we keept Bernardo & Larena to keep on going what we belive in breeding. Also he has a litter in kennel Alquanto Magnificente, from this litter a female is choosen to come to us to carry the bloodline we like to work with. We like to end this writing with a BIG thank you to Luca Olivari Kennel di Casa dei Marchesi for great bloodlines into our kennel. With this material we could start our breeding with the ideas we belive in.
